When I asked Expedia to send me a confirmation email they said that the "couldn't do that" but that the hotel rooms are confirmed--and that the Osaka Hilton would be able to confirm them 3-5 days prior to check-in. My check-in date is next summer. Wonder if Expedia is sending a list of approved confirmations...???
Same thing happened to me, Expedia agent assured me they would honor rate but would not put it in writting. She said all she could do was send me copy of my itineraries for both Tokyo and Osaka in September. Rate still listed as $4.
