I wish most of you would stop harping about those fees and taxes. They're a fact of life and the sooner you accept that reality, the more you might appreciate these glitches. Remember, it's the UK and US government who added most of the additional costs to the BA $20 ticket, to the tune of about $40 for the former and $30 for the latter regime. Airlines have little or no control over these charges, nor the soaring cost of fuel that adds those pesky fuel surcharges.
