late charge for flight change
I try to be short.
My son had a cheap ticket from Denver to San Diego. Lost his wallet on bus to airport Friday night. He was told he couldn't fly - OK so far. He was on his way home to sister's wedding and is somewhat a charmer. He was told to show up Saturday with ID and he could just go if seat available - no word about money. He came Saturday with passport flew to San Diego - no money - wedding complete - no problem.........
Went to San Diego Airport Sunday for return flight and they would not let him on until he paid $278 for earlier flight change.
I called customer service and first guy was sympathetic and said if he was going to be charged at all it should have been in Denver. I agree. Now it's been kicked up to a supervisor and things are sounding like ---well the charge for a flight change applies blah blah.
Can anyone help with facts. Can the gate agent in Denver waive the charge------if so, can the agent in San Diego decide to charge it?
Any help appreciated. Frontier policy info best.
This really just doesn't seem right.
