I read somewhere that NW is considering returning the leased AVRO's, in bankruptcy, since operating costs are relatively high. Apparently the hope is to do what United did and get a much cheaper lease.... but what may happen, of course, is that they go back to the lessors.
And then there is the discussion between NW and pilots on scope so that AVRO's might get reconfigured as 85 seters (no first class)
