For now snag a window seat on the 2 side, but when you get to the gate, find out how full the flight is. I am flying out on the 27th, and I have noticed that there are a ton of available seats on all the last days of Sept. If the flight is fairly empty, ask the gate agent to block a few seats in the middle back - 3 is usually enough(though all 5 IS possible)- you will find the DC-10 to be great for sleeping if you can snag the middle with some room....
