I was just able to snag a RT award ticket to AMS leaving 9/30 and returning 10/5 NW outbound in coach and DL returning in business.

Outbound is NW #36 I have seat 13-B and the window seat next to me is currently empty.

I've never flown on a DC-10.........should I just blow my brains out now?

But seriously, is it as bad as I've read? I've done coach on a US 767 to AMS and it was tolerable. I might just consider several martinis at the Westin with one of "mother's little helpers" and hopefully sleep the whole way.
