I'm finding the same phenomenon at the new company I started work for the first of this year. All of the folks I have travelled with have FF programs with the airlines, but when it comes to the hotels, no one gives a darn.
I have made a point to check in with these folks and get MY hotel FF number of their reservation and pay for their rooms just to get the credits and points.
Works for me!!!
