Hi,

After much planning I have recently submitted my first RTW request to British Airways Office, Cairo. The route is valid, and seats reserved etc ... which is great, and i was pleasantly surprised how quickly they were able to turn the pricing around (3 working days!) one thing that has surprised me though is that the taxes for the fare equate to about 22% of the total cost!

The base cost is EGP£33,350 as per the latest qantas *.pdf price file published on here, and the taxes a further EGP£7750! -> I was under the impression that taxes would be circa 10%?

Is there anybody who has recently booked a ticket ex-CAI able to clarify whether this level of tax is indeed too high, or whether it is correct?
