Canceling a Leg
I have a round trip to IAH scheduled next week. My plans have changed, instead of flying home, I'm going to another city. The new flight is on another airline, paid for by my client. Continental 1-800 says to simply cancel the return leg once I arrive and IAH. They said I would be able to use this at a future date. I'm assuming next time I travel to IAH, I could simply purchase a one way ticket and use this leg for return travel. I've never done this before and am wondering:
1- Will this actually work
2- How do I use the canceled leg for future travel
