A few years back there was a story about a plane having to declare emergency and touch down at a different airport en route from somewhere in Spain (I believe) to Berlin.
The reason for this was a cat had gotten out of it's cage. Managed to get in to the cockpit and clawed the pilots.
Most people on board were asleep eccept for one - a kid - sat across the isle from the cat.
It was impossible for the cat to open the cage. Owner was sound asleep. Kid refused to say anything at all when asked.
Don't stick kids in isle seats.
