"Is 2P worth it?"

I fly UA 3-5 times a year midcon, 1-2 transcon, 1-2 transatlantic. This year I am at the upper range, so there's a chance I will make 2P, if I pay about $200 extra to make a transatlantic flight on *A rather than something else. Is it worth it? Yes, I know, it's all relative, but I am interested to hear from 2Ps who have to make a moderate effort to maintain that status but have no realistic chance to ever make 1P or above... Are you happy? Do you notice the difference in terms of op-ups, treatment overall, etc.? Is permanent E+ "worth" the extra effort it takes to maintain 2P? Thanks.

(My feeling is that if being 2P gets me 1 op-up of any kind during the year along with E+, then it's worth it, but what do I know!?!)
I didn't have any elite status until I "accidentally" made it two years ago (2P) and have been very happy since. Although I am only an occasional flyer, I have enjoyed the benefits of priority check-in and boarding (especially on international flights) as well as express security line (at some airports, though). IMHO, if you fly more than a couple of times a year (especially on international flights), 2P is definitely worth the extra effort and money because of the time you will save with various express/priority lines. Besides, if you are somewhat tall, E+ can spare you a lot pain (while I am not particularly tall, I have enjoyed the extra leg room on all of my flights, especially the 10+ hours transpac flights). In summary, paying a reasonable amount of extra money and/or making a reasonable amount of extra effort is worth it.
