AQ and the E-tkt
Being a Canadian TA, I was issuing interisland tickets on AQ last night and made a reservation as per my clients preferences in my CRS. Things were going fine until I went to actually issue the tickets and found AQ doesn't have E-ticket capability, so had to issue paper and it was a serious snafu when the hardcopy ticket printer, which is used so infrequently, misprinted a series of tickets. So my question is does AQ offer E-ticket capability at all, and if not why not? You'd think the benefits of E-tickets on a smaller regional airline would be many versus the paper chase with the old fashioned hardcopy types. BTW, this wasn't some weird itinerary with 3 airlines and some not having interline E-ticket agreements, this was a straight-up HNL-OGG-LIH-HNL AQ only ticket.
I'm not an airline CEO and don't play one on TV, but with E-tickets becoming so commonplace, why not adopt the technology? Anyone know if it's coming?
