suggestion for future seminars
Hi! The seminars sound great. I am fairly new to the forums and have been enjoying the reading. I will have to look at my schedule and see if I can arrange to attend one of the seminars.
I wanted to mention a tip for future planning. I am the meeting planner for several Wis early childhood associations. When you decide on a city, pick out several hotel families that attendees earn points. If someone wants to take on the planning, they call a hotel and talk to someone in sales. If you book 10 rooms at the hotel, most times they will give you a meeting room at no charge. They will usually give you a great rate on the rooms for attendees. Your selling point is that the attendees of your seminar are frequent flyers and will probably be back in Chicago and/or will be telling many of us about how the seminar went on flyer talk. The advertisement for the hotel could be good. It makes it convenient to have the meeting and rooms in the same place. This also works if you just book the rooms and meet someplace else. If you pick out a hotel like Hampton/Hilton Garden Inn, they also have free wireless Internet. It might take several phone calls to find a hotel that has rooms open but it can be worth the time. The bonus for the person who steps up to make the arrangements is extra points for setting up the meeting. Hilton Hhonors, Priority, Starwood, Radisson and others offer this.
