All I can add to this topic is that the bulkhead (row 1) seat on any 747 is quite cold. I had no choice but to sit in 1K on Sat from LAX-HKG and I froze.
1A/K is my favourite seat on the 747 (and yes, I do prefer the 747 but not by enough that it matters). Have never found it too cold. Pretty much just right on CX and QF; often too hot on BA, but then that seems to be a BA sop. The great thing about 1A/K are the partial forward views due to the slant of the nose.
