FD -> FB Miles Posting - Beware!
Hi All!
I used the nifty online tool to ask that my May AF/KL flights be credited to my FB account. It worked like a charm - the flights posted the next day. Be very careful however, when they are posted - review them in order to see how they're crediting you. It seems like they take the worst possible option between FD and FB and credit in that way. This was my experience:
TLV-PAR in Tempo Challenge:
100% Base Miles (also level miles)
50% COS Bonus (also level miles) - is this correct BTW - did FD only give 50% bonus for Tempo Challenge?
75% Gold Elite Bonus - should have been 100% as we were still under FD at the time
Net loss: At least 25% (but possibly missing 50% level miles)
PAR-CFE in Abonnes:
100% Base Miles
100% COS Bonus (I think - it actually says "Full Fare Bonus for Discount Card Holder" - what's up with that?)
75% Gold Elite Bonus - again - should have been 100%
Net loss: 25%
TLV-AMS in WBC:
150% Base + COS Bonus - should have been 200% as members of FD
75% Gold Elite Bonus - should have been 100%
Net loss: 50% level miles and an additional 25% award miles
I called the FB helpdesk and they told me that Tempo Challenge under FD only got 50%, but in the same breath said that Gold Elites under FD only got 75%, so I am not sure what to make of that. It could be that since TLV is not Europe then they can't very well give 100% to Tempo Challenge, but only 50% for business class. They said that they would review the flights/classes in question and update my milage in one week.
The bright side is (I guess) that the call to the Helpdesk was a free call from Israel - previously I had to call the Netherlands direct.
The moral of the story is - I guess - when things get posted - keep an eye out.
Take care!
