There's an old joke: this guy really likes the song "April in Paris". It's his dream. Finally, he gets to go to Paris in April, and it's terrible! Rain, cold, really lousy.

When he gets back to the States, he looks up the guy who wrote the song. "What ever were you thinkng? I went to Paris in April and it was really bad!" And the guy says, "Oh sure. It's not nice in Paris in April. You really want to go in May."

"So why did you write 'April in Paris' ?"

"Well, I needed a two syllable word. 'May' just didn't fit."

Ahem.

Well, I'm considering a trip next Spring, probably in April, maybe into May. I'm looking at Paris, Vienna, Budapest, who knows where else.

That 'joke' has been on my mind -- what should I expect the weather to be like in those areas at that time of year?
