Why not apply for a Delta American Express ... it's one year free and you get 10,000 (?) bonus miles.
The problem with this card is, that I was never sure, if I got the double miles or not.
For most cases I now use American Express Starwood, only $30/year fee. Exchange 1 to 1; plus 20% for 20,000 for many airlines.
