Frontier: What to expect

I've been using Jetblue for travel to various confrences that happen a few times a year, but they all seem to be happening in Salt Lake City. Unfortunately Jetblue only has 4 flights daily, 2 to/from LGB and 2 to/from JFK. The SLC-JFK flight is a redeye. I hate red-eyes. With B6's on-time performance the prospect of a 3 hour delay on a redeye does not sound appealing. Yes, I'm getting to the Frontier connection right now. I was considering using Frontier as they have Direct TV and a better schedule to SLC. I have a few questions.

1. What is Frontiers seat pitch? I'm used to the 34" pitch from B6.

2. Is it snack service or is it food for purchase?

3. I see frontier's Free Ticket is 15,000 miles, whats the catch?
