Here's what happened when I recently did this: On the reservation page my reservation appeared as "one king bed, non-smoking room has been guaranteed". But when I clicked on "Print this Reservation", the reservation came up as follows: "No room preferences were selected". Nothing about a king bed, nothing about non-smoking. Obviously I wouldn't print this page to take with me, because it makes it appear that I haven't reserved or been guaranteed a particular type of accomodation. Does it present any further problems? Has anybody else noticed this, or is this simply a one-time quirk pertaining to this single reservation?
I ran into this earlier in the month when I made back-to-back reservations at four locations.
I may be wrong, but the problem seems to me that the "Preferences" file is not saving what's inputted.
In the midst of keyboarding in reservation #1 I noticed on the screen prior to the confirmation screen "No Preferences indicated" (even though I know I had chosen them a long time ago). So, I clicked on the appropriate link, went in and set preferences as "King Bed - High Floor - Non Smoking" and that's what appeared on the final screen, and confirming email (both of which I printed clicking on my toolbar icon - not the Marriott "link").
When I got to reservation #2. even though I had saved my preferences, there it was again - "No Preferences Indicated," so I went through the same routine again with the identical (and ultimately correct) results.
Experienced again while keyboarding reservations #3 and 4 and the last time I looked which was the other day, which I think is a good habit to get into (so there's plenty of time to correct anything that may have gone awry), all was OK.
I'll post here if, when I check again, I notice that anything's changed.
