I too have received an email notification with the blank seat assignment. It generally means that you got the VERY LAST upgrade. This is the seat they hold just in case, for example, the pres of Continental needs to fly... at least that is what they told me. In any case, I would call, and they will tell you what your seat assignment is. More than likely it will be seat 1B. Let me know if I am correct.
