HKG is also not eligible for automatic crediting via the website. Ugh, how frustrating.
I always wondered about this. I was on a SIN-HKG-YVR-YYZ in both cases. I wonder how they figured I made it from HKG-YVR given that the other segments are credited and I had reasonably short connection times. Guess they figured I might have swum across the ocean, or taken a flight with a competitor? :P
Sorry you had your purse stolen, and there is no need to be "chicken" about calling Aeroplan...As you are an SE, just find a copy of your ticket and call the SE line. They will take the res locator number and ticket number and can post your points. You can also do this online. SEs generally do not have to provide backup if you can supply both locator number and ticket number which can be confirmed.
Reason077: If your miles from one of four segments have not posted together with the other three, then the missing segment will not post. You should always keep the small stub from your bording pass, as this is what is required. There is really no excuse for losing these critcal pieces of cardboard! However, because the other segments posted, you can just send a copy of your ticket with an explanatory note about no longer having the stub, and AE will likely give you credit.
