Hi People; today I booked a night at the AKL Hilton using my "Welcome to Hilton" voucher. I was advised it would be NZ$110.

I protested, stating the voucher I had in my mitts had $100 in print and that should be the price.

I was informed I had "last year's voucher" and the price was now $110; however, as a gesture of welcome "I would only be charged $100".

Anyway, I am now booked at nz$100; I only hope they do not charge 12½% GST!

This booking was not showing on the Hilton web site three hours after receiving the booking reference. I'll recheck tomorrow.
