My quote from my HH statement is not wrong. I was quoting my experience so others can understand what they may expect - YMMV. I can categorically state that I have always been given HH points for every $ spent on every stay, whether using the original Diamond Club free night voucher, the more recent $55 voucher, the $110 or $120 vouchers or the 20% off rate.

I also confirm that my more recent stays using vouchers have not accrued stay/night credits. Earlier stays did earn stay/night credits which may have been a mistake on the hotels part. Certainly non paid in the last 12 months as confirmed from my on-line statement.

I know what the vouchers state (thanks for those who have posted since my vouchers are back home in Australia), and I am not disputing that they say they do not earn points or stays. But in my experience (and I have been a Diamond Club member for several years now - thanks Glen) I have always received points based on my total spend including the voucher room rate, even when my total spend at the hotel was one parking charge of $15 and using a free stay voucher. Not many HH points for that, especially since the A$ was pretty low against the US$ back then, but I still got the points. According to the vouchers we should not eanr points for the room rate, but in 100% of my own voucher stays I have received HH points based on the total bill including the voucher room rate. And as I described in a previous post, the rate shown on my HH statement even indicated the voucher rate was paid.

How can I be wrong .... I am reading it directly off my statement. Read my lips - I have always been awarded points for my voucher stays. In the last 12 months I have not been awarded stay/night credits.

We know that not all Hilton stays are entitled to earn stay/night credits and that depends on the rate paid and the method of payment (ie pre-paid rates through organisations like Priceline don't earn on the amount paid to Priceline). But even on Priceline stays you still earn HH points for the incidentals paid directly to the hotel.
