I admit up front this is pure speculation on my part, but isn't it possible that CO is just temporarily running the 76's on those routes as they often do when bringing new equipment into the fleet.

Just recently, when taking delivery of the first 764, it was put on an EWR-MCO route for a few weeks.

Right now, there is one 762 going back and forth between IAH and EWR, which I believe is the first one they took delivery of. Those same IAH-EWR flights (78 up, 63 back) early in March will (according to COOL) use a 764. Those same 2 flights in early April will use a DC10 (again according to COOL). Bringing the new planes in on domestic runs then rotating them out to the Europe routes they announced they would use them on?

Again, just pure speculation on my part, but....I've seen them do it in the past.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see them use the 762 on transcons, but I'm not getting my hopes up yet.
