Many of the recent Bluetooth stacks (drivers) include audio, same with most PDA's. I have tried and tested this many times, sound quality isn't great (it doesn't send full quality audio) but it isn't bad. There are also "real" bluetooth headsets that do send full quality stereo headsets...
I imagine, though, that the limited battery life would be a problem. Most of the headsets are made small enough so the batteries are fairly small. I want to say my Sony has a bit under 2hr talk time which should be the same time for listening to music.
