Book a rate that is available to all(no AAA,no third party bookings)-but you can book a PKG PES S4B etc rate as those are all publiclly available.
At check in you hand your bonus pounds to the nice reception person-make sure they understand the pounds(not dollars)part.
Not all properties are eligible in using a bonus buck,check the rules on your cert.N Las Vegas the JW and the Renaissance are the ones I know honor the cert(not sure about Marriott Suites

The clerk will then check to see what the hotels exchange rate is-last weekend it was $1.71 they will not give you par' on your cert.

the worse rate i ever got was 1.85
it may help you to print out a copy of the exchange rate the day that you travel
and give that at check in
and write the cert numbers down or fotocopy the certs when you hand them in
just inb case
also ask for a printout of the bill when you hand them in - to be sure that they have been credited to your account properly
