As previously posted, it depends. The terminal maps at DFW indicate whether it would be better to walk or take the train. If it is boderline, I usually will choose to walk. But I just noticed you won't be flying until August. The new Skylink will be in service then which should greatly improve the situation. I believe the new trains will run in both directions which will eliminate the need to make the whole loop if your connecting gate is "behind" you.

You might want to check out the American Airlines forum here for more information. Most there would be pros at moving through DFW
