delorme street atlas still works fine in classic and can talk to a gps.
other ones i've heard that are good are gpsy and mac gps pro.

We use Route 66 on an iBook in the car and have no such problems with it. The laptop is not connected to a GPS, so that may have something to do with it. The interface could be more intuitive, however, I've had no problems with it and that's even without reading the documentation.
