With the creation of the Flying Blue joint frequent flyer program of Air France & KLM this will create many benefits for existing FD & also F+ members with increased partners, flight schedules & lounges. Existing FD Elite members will keep their status until normal account review on 31st December 2005. Thereafter they will qualify for the Elite level per the FD Status miles on their account. Members will no longer drop one level at any one time. On June 1 2005 when all existing FD accounts are moved to the new Flying Blue program all Award Miles will be set at ZERO in the new program in order to make the new program benefits equal for both existing FD & F+ members.
