FD Accounts to be reset when new Flying Blue created.

June 2005: New horizons with Flying Blue

Book your awards now! FD accounts reset per June 1 2005

With the creation of the Flying Blue joint frequent flyer program of Air France & KLM this will create many benefits for existing FD & also F+ members with increased partners, flight schedules & lounges. Existing FD Elite members will keep their status until normal account review on 31st December 2005. Thereafter they will qualify for the Elite level per the FD Status miles on their account. Members will no longer drop one level at any one time. On June 1 2005 when all existing FD accounts are moved to the new Flying Blue program all Award Miles will be set at ZERO in the new program in order to make the new program benefits equal for both existing FD & F+ members. Get booking your award flight now to your favorite destination and look for the special [email protected] on www.klm.com

Is this a joke or? You mean they are going to reset all award miles to ZERO on June 1? How can they do that? I thought that the even after the transfer, we can still keep the award miles as long as there are activites within 36 months?

I hope I understood the mail correctly..

Thanks.

I know it's April 1st but you shouldn't give those buggers any ideas, apparently .

The UA board had one advising that TED was taking over their Asia flights .

Hey at least we haven't demanded an apology from the original poster for daring to laugh at our worst fears - as happened on AAnother board

Our board passes its sense of humour check!

Yes, we certainly all seem to have a good sense of humour, then again we need to in order to deal with KLM.

Will have to tell a couple of the guys at work that the nice HTML newsletter that I forwarded to them was an April fool.

Out of three of them one got the April fool and another two did not.

Even got an offer of a few hundred thousand miles to use myself before the June date.

As April 1st is over now I'll close this thread - not that some of us will later have a heart attack, reading this thread in May...
