Whats the best way to save a few bucks if I need a transfer vom LAX to Anaheim?

In the past I took an Uber/Lyft from LAX-it, but the prices are insane at the moment!
Can I take a Shuttle to the RentalCar facility or to the Metro Transit Center and hail a Uber/Lyft there?
Would this save some money? Or is there even a better "trick"?

We will be with heavy luggage, so walking to a nearby location would be insufficient, and I am not feeling good to take a Hotel Shuttle without staying there.
