Well that's been true on the demand side for at least the 17 years I've been on FT. It will be true until CX adopts fully dynamic pricing for redemption and eliminates the miles game.
Question is - what about supply? Obviously bad now, with the war going on. Cutbacks in OPM travel also did a number on redemptions. But when CX opens a new route like SEA, miles are good.
