One benefit when this happened to me last year is the PQP from the non-cleared upgrades & copay pushed me over the threshold of the next tier, which stuck, even though the PQP & copay eventually refunded. But YMMV.
That’s odd. Usually you get those pqp only after you take the flight – and are upgraded. (And even then you may need to call in)
