I don‘t get how this is even supposed to work. All card payments at Bonvoy-affiliated restaurants around the world are cross-referenced against these „registered“ cards? That seems hardly likely and might actually be impossible, even if this „registration“ link were working.

I have only ever received such points via a retroactive claim, and obviously that‘s only worth it for significant bills.
