The way I see it, currently flying into / out of Dubai is safe at times, similar to how flying out of HKG is sometimes unsafe because there is a typhoon going on, or there is snow at AMS/ATL/etc.
It is hard to know whether to laugh or cry sometimes, I did think comparing the war in the middle east to a patch of snow in Schiphol was a bit over the top.
For our business, we have strictly no middle east travel under any circumstances at the moment and it is expected to stay like that for a while. I expect the same would apply to many corporate travel policies at the moment, the stop and go between drone attacks approach is hardly helping matters. That kind of of revenue loss is going to make a dent in EK and middle east carrier profitability for some time surely.
