yes. and thats exactly my point.

the incompetent chase EDIT team didnt have enough useless team meetings over zoom w/ post it notes and whiteboards with MGM x marriott.

marriott prob said "we never agreed to that. u want marriott pts? then u book via qualifying channels. not EDIT."

then MGM stepped in as the backstop "ok sure. chase EDIT can get some MGM pts instead cuz that wont piss off our fren mr marriott".

so the chase EDIT team scrambled to quietly replace all the web listings to "MGM eligible."

I just followed up again. The rep was helpful but no progress has been made. The rep noted that the ticket was indeed filed and supposedly they are awaiting an email response from the actual hotel. Rep offered to call hotel again, which was done but the Front Desk person connected the rep to a line that went to voice mail. Rep told me that there were additional notes that I was inquiring about the refund. Rep told me that hopefully I will get my refund soon.

I said that I will wait a few weeks but if there is no progress and it gets close to the dispute deadline, I'm going to dispute both the Chase Travel and the hotel charge which hopefully will force them to do something.

I'll just repeat that I will NEVER use Chase Travel to book hotels except to try to capture the hotel credit and/or the Edit credits...
totally agree with u. chase travel (aka cxLoyalty) operates like booking.com. zero trust. zero accountability. nothing like amex FHR.

no reason to use EDIT besides the $250 credit which causes financial anxiety. but ive used FHR many times outside of the plat credits cuz u cant beat 1 night benefits. HUGE W like the seahawks.
