Once AC get more 787-10, maybe they will return to TPE. I suggested before that AC and BR should look at closer cooperation since BR cannot add anymore flights. Pretty sure YVR-TPE and YYZ-TPE can both support 1 more daily. I think the issue is AC is not that interested in leveraging BR and TPE as transit point for its own customers.
AC already partners with CX, which covers the same markets as BR. If AC is willing to fly flights like YVR-MNL/CTS, YYZ-KIX, YUL-ICN, then it means the lack of interest in TPE isn't due to aircraft constraint. I can't think of another airport that is home to 3 full service long haul airlines (maybe LAX), so perhaps AC is just not interested in competing there.
