In any case, you will be arriving on Vietnam Airlines in business class so you are entitled special handling through Vietnamese Immigration, which can take hours in the regular line. Saigon’s Tan Son Nhat Airport is a very overcrowded place and until the new airport east of the city is built it will remain overcrowded. Most international arrivals get a jetway but if you get parked on the tarmac and must take a bus, it will be to the international arrivals processing area.

After you are in that area, follow the signs and crowd to the immigration queue where you will see multiple immigration lines. Just as you enter this area on your left where you see the Diplomatic and Crew lines indicate to the uniformed immigration officer standing at the rope that you are “Business Class” (best way is to hold up your boarding pass so he can see it). He will then check your passport and business class boarding pass on Vietnam Airlines.

He will open the rope and direct you to the proper line. Follow his direction even though the line he sends you to may be longer. Once through immigration take the escalator down to baggage claim, get a free cart for your heavier luggage’ and wheel through the green “Nothing to Declare”. Here you will enter internal hall with lots of cell phone and transport vendors.
