Late entry but, the catering ex-AKL was quite good when I flew AKL - YVR earlier this month.
Some excellent (?) multigrain sourdough, and the garlic bread was the thickest and crispiest I've had yet on AC.
Entree was beef short ribs which I also quite enjoyed (far superior to the catering ex-YVR/YYZ/YUL). Cheese plate also different from the AC baseline.
For me personally. Catering outside of Canada tend to be much better. Even SA catering fare better vs ex YYZ
