I thought that was a drawback, but obviously, if one is paying it twice, that not ok. Sounds like grounds for a class action?
I’ve got my first Edit stay coming up in Feb, and not encouraged by the resort fee BS (honestly, most are BS on the first place, but that’s for another thread). I’ll make sure to bring a copy of the CT receipt showing it was paid so I can sort out at hotel if they try to charge.
has anyone mentioned to the hotel at check out they were already charged the fee, and what was hotel reaction?
yes. prob class action. im sure attorneys are waiting on the sidelines for critical mass. maybe 1-2yrs worth of overpaid resort fees to hit chase w/ huge fines.
u need to call the property ASAP. ask them questions about ur booking. how does it show up and wat fees already paid to property. u prepaid chase EDIT rite? then property should tell u everything. ask for billing mgr.
bring copy of receipt? dont bother. wont work. resort fees paid onsite. they wont know jack about wat u paid chase. they will prob say u used expedia and u owe them resort fees.
go handle the circus now. dont do it while ur traveling.
