I was thinking especially in relation to the reason for the delay. If you are delayed from FRA for reasons of weather for example, you are not getting compensated no matter what, so there's no point in even considering it. If the plane broke down in FRA, and took 5 hours to fix, on the other hand, might be worth staying the extra 4 hours in CDG to get the 250.
