The Chase Edit hotel credit process is a cluster and you do need to wait for the reverse credit card transaction to be "posted" before you re-book for Chase to reapply the Edit credit.
I can pretty much confirm this, as my record of transactions above (post #519) shows. I am now waiting to see if Chase will cut me a break or if I need to rebook (at a higher rate) next week to get my 2025 credit.
