I had an Edit booking that utilizes the $250 credit. When the price dropped, I cancelled and rebooked right after.
A few days later, two transactions posted to my account: a debit of $250 and a credit of $250.
It can vary. I booked and rebooked a total of seven times, but the EDIT credit only appeared and was reversed three times, and currently I do not have the credit. Here's the history - only the bookings with an asterisk triggered the credit.
