I’m comparing my options for a three-night stay at the Hay-Adams (DC) in January. It’s $1585 including taxes and fees for both Amex FH&R and Chase Edit. Both have same benefits except Amex is a guaranteed 4 pm late check out; Chase only if available.

But…$300 statement credit on Amex; $250 on Edit. Also, 5x points on Amex (worth ~$120 here) and no points on Chase when the credit applies. Amex wins this one.
