DP regarding cancel and rebook. I did a cancel and rebook in the early hours on Nov 2. Neither the new charge or the refund has actually posted to my account, nor has the $250 been clawed back in a transaction. However, my meter now shows 0/250 used so I'm expecting a clawback and I doubt it's going to re-apply properly.
Thankfully the hotel price is the same so I'm just going to cancel and rebook yet again. Hope the others above end up reporting that the credit will be re-applied properly if you rebook immediately but I wouldn't hold my breath.
But this would prove my point. That if you don’t rebook in the same period as the credit was initially issued you’ll lose that credit. This is very different from AMEX and a substantial negative.
