Amex has 13 shown as FHR plus another dozen as "The Hotel Collection".

Both this and the severely limited number of restaurants in the dining program are making the new CSR pretty poor for me.
I have been able to use Amex Plat credits without much fuss at all.
I tend to agree: it's a real stretch to find edit hotels that aren't >$1500 for 2 nights. On the plus side, I've decided: Chase letting you pay the rest of the charge with points at $0.02/point (so really it's like 12,500 points off certain high-priced hotels if you think about it that way). Makes it easier to stomach. Still: I reckon many will rather see the $250 perk expire.

Since folks are in the topic of cancelling this card:
Personally between the dining, the general travel, the occasional Lyft, and apple music I'm at $800 value organically. The 🍎 TV, doordash promos support the value, if not organically. I'll find ways to use the StubHub credits to get out more. And from there I'll be happy if every few years I can max out the edit benefit without going out of my way on hotel spend (though next year a stay in Hong Kong will get me into The Kerry for 215/nt after credit). But as you've pointed out: AMEX credits should definitely be prioritized and are much better value proposition. Last thing: don't forget that by keeping the card open you keep 1.5c/pt redemptions alive for 2 more years.
