I’m Gold but can only make Silver with membership ending in Feb 26. Any tier points earned from now until Dec 25 need to be retro credited in Jan 26 to help count for renewing Silver until Dec 27 (determined by 1 Jan 1 31 Dec 26 tier points). Fortunately most tier points will be earned in Feb 26.

Members who have most of their travel in the rest of 2025 rather than in early 2026 may end up having their status cut short by quite a few months, e.g let’s say they are Gold and expire in October 26 but earn 500 tier points from Oct 2025 to Dec 2025 then only 100 from Jan 2026 until Aug 2026, they’ll only renew Gold for 4 months and will need to earn 200 points from Aug to Dec 26 just to get Silver in 2027. So it’s important for flights to be retro credited in January 2026 for any flights until then.
