Stayed here on Friday night. There was another thread where I was asked why I prefer Hampton to Hyatt Place - this hotel embodies that opinion pretty well. The closet door handles were coming off and not secured. The metal trap door in the bathroom was rusting. Particle board was peeling apart from the desk and nightstand. The $12 charge for breakfast (which I didn't pay given status) is inappropriate for a hotel in this class. The staff I will say is very nice.
Meanwhile I'm in the middle of a stay at the Hampton in East Aurora and it's very well taken care of with none of these issues.
The location of the Hyatt, however, is great assuming you know where to go and the areas to avoid in Niagara Falls. Would recommend the wine bar on Third St (aptly named Wine on Third) which is a short walk from the hotel. I would stay here again just to get the night credit for status but I would otherwise prefer to stay at Seneca Niagara or somewhere over on the Canadian side.
