He proceeds to tell his attorney all about an idea he has that he thinks will solve all of his financial problems and, after explaining the idea in some detail, asks his attorney at what point in the development process he should patent it. His wife is hissing at him to stop talking about it in public. He looks around, sees I am the only person near him, and then announces to his wife that there's no need to worry because nobody (ie me) will be able to understand it. He then tells her not to worry because since he was discussing it with his attorney, it's "privileged". What a bozo. So I took notes on it.
He went on to leave all of his garbage on the seat between us: open soda can rolling around, chips, candy, etc, and kept getting up and kneeling on his seat, shoes and socks off, to berate his wife and accuse her of being the reason they had no money. A really unpleasant person.
Good question would be if this would count as public sharing of the to-be patented idea, making it unpatentable.
Never forget to check Donald Duck before filing for one.
As for abuse; often enough see people somewhere between completely ignoring staff to rude/dismissive. A small nodd or quick "thank you" when they collect your dirty dishes is really not that difficult. Also; I don't know what some people do in the bathrooms but how quickly they can turn from perfectly clean to 5am in a club is impressive (and yes that is with regular cleaning).
