CO will allow you to hold a reward reservation for up to 10 working days before ticketing, so go ahead and reserve it and call back to see. I did an Easy Pass, held it, called back the next day (the reservation agent told me to wait 5 days...) and got the whole thing on Standard. I suggest printing out a list of the Sky Team partners, and a list of possible routes to your destination. Not that the CO folks are trying to jack you, but a friendly reminder to check other airlines and/or routes could save you a lot of miles....saved me 100k!
